Poison for the Heart

The Spiritual Man  •   An example to others     6 / 46

However, the spiritual man is insecure only at first. He gets better as he learns to swim more easily in the sea of the Infinite. When he finally learns to stop swimming and float, his ego dissolves completely. Having eliminated the cause of suffering, his security is transcendant. Now, and only now, can he begin to perfect all the skills necessary to help others in even better ways than he already has. Now he has the spiritual strength to do intellectually demanding things without losing concentration on God, without becoming absorbed in what he is doing, and in the world.

Any activity that is without the transcendant strength, inner-quiet, and peace that comes from a wisdom of teh Infinite, is performed by a deluded mind. Such banal activity ignores Truth and buries oneself and others deeper into samsara and its hells. It is not worth the effort trying to justify such blind and wreckless activity; first learn to see, then you are free to be as active as you like.
