My analysis of L Susan Stebbing's strongest idea and greatest value:

Stebbing's M.A. thesis Pragmatism and French Voluntarism was apparently about getting an intellectual understanding to truth, but she began badly on the premise that truth, logic, and the intellect are totally divorced from reality.

Her later work on logic was nothing but a creation of hundreds of categories to try to get at the true and accurate definition of something, e.g. 'postulational system' or 'logical construction'.   Her total blindness to the basic, simple nature of logic is blindingly obvious.   Stebbing is one of millions of mediocre academics, writing purely for the sake of appearing knowledgeable.

Stebbing's life work was on logic, but she was not a logician. She had no understanding of logic. Her work is without value.

Interestingly, Stebbing's mission to make logic a practical tool to solve the problems of humankind, e.g. political issues, shows how little insight she had into the matter.
