My analysis of Anna Akhmatova's strongest idea and greatest value:

Akhmatova's descriptions of emotional pain are her fortè.  She greatly valued being able to convey a hellish psychological existence.   Ahkmatova was not primarily trying to get her Russian compatriots to notice the consequences of anger and unthinking values.   Her strongest idea was basically that life is suffering, and it is best to cultivate little habits to distract and pleasure oneself.
